Week 1 lab assignment

1. Have one of your friends take your photo with a digital camera. This should be a head shot of your face that looks like you and expresses your personality, if possible.

2. Write at least 5 or six sentences in English about yourself. Talk about what you like to do and what you like to read and why. Here are some examples of types of reading in English:

newspapers (or Internet news), magazines

fiction (novels, short stories) -- imaginary, not true (includes fantasy, science fiction, detective novels, etc.)

nonfiction (true stories) -- about events that really happened; essays; scientific writing

poetry

history (facts about the past)

letters from friends and family

diaries or journals

love letters from ….

You can also write about the kind of music you like, using vocabulary from Unit I.
